Notice on Professional Exams for Compliance Officers under AML/CFT Law, Which Take Place on 27 June 2012

Professional exams for businesses and professionals providing accounting services; broker-dealer companies; insurance companies and insurance agents licenced to do life insurance business; auditing companies; providers of financial leasing; legal persons engaging in factoring/forfeiting operations, takes place in Belgrade on 27 June 2012. The applicantswill be informed in writing of the time and place of the examination.  

In the period to come the Administration for the Prevention  of Money Laundering will organize the examination sessions in larger towns across Serbia – Novi Sad, Niš, Kragujevac, Sombor, Zrenjanin and Pančevo. Those interested in taking the professional exams in these towns will receive notice of the exam shedules in these locations in due time.   

Deadline for the registration of the exam to be held on 27 June 2012 in Belgarde is 12 June 2012.

Prospective applicants should apply as follows:
The application form should be completed and sent to prijava@apml.org.rs , or in registered mail at Uprava za sprečavanje pranaj novca , Masarikova 2, 11000 Belgrade. The applicants who do  not live in Belgrade and who find it convenient to take the exam in one of the towns listed above must state in their application form the name of the town where they would like to take it.  

The proof of paying exmination fees should be attached to the registration form. The registration form and the information on the examination fees can be found at the Administration’s website in the LICENCING folder.   

I) Suggested exam literature for candidates in the area of accounting is:

1. Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing;

2. Rulebook on the Methodology to Comply with the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing;

3. Guidelines for reporting suspicious transactions, knowing and monitoring of customers and no tipping-off;

4. National Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism Strategy;

5. Guidelines for ML/TF risk assessment by auditing companies and professionals & legal persons providing accounting services;

6. List of indicators for identifying suspicious transactions related to accounting services.

 II) Suggested exam literature for candidates in broker-dealer companies:

1. Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing;

2. Rulebook on the Methodology to Comply with the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing;

3. Guidelines for Implementing the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing for the obligors supervised by the Securities Commission.  

4. National Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism Strategy;

5. Guidelines for reporting suspicious transactions, knowing and monitoring of customers and no tipping-off;

6. List of indicators for identifying suspicious transactions related to broker-dealer companies

7. List of indicators for identifying suspicious transactions related to terrorism financing

III) Suggested exam literature for candidates from insurance companies and insurance agents licenced to do life insurance business:

1. Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing;

2. Rulebook on the Methodology to Comply with the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing;

3. National Bank of Serbia Guidelines for Complying with the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing 4. National Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism Strategy;

5. Guidelines for reporting suspicious transactions, knowing and monitoring of customers and no tipping-off;

6. List of indicators for recognizing suspicious transactions in insurance business;

7. List of indicators for identifying suspicious transactions related to terrorism financing

IV Suggested exam literature for candidates in the area of auditing:

1. Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing;

2. Rulebook on the Methodology to Comply with the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing;
