APML commented on the media speculations that the dubious capital of the late Russian businessman Boris Berezovsky was used for the purchase of companies in Serbia.
Regarding this claim, APML made the following statement:
“Administration for the Prevention of Money Laundering indirectly linked Berezovsky to the ownership of Salford, but that connection has not been proven. In the course of the last two years, APML has exchanged information on the companies indirectly linked to this investment fund with foreign FIUs. The subject of those checks has never been Berezovsky”, reads the statement of the APML.
The investment fund Salford is, through Danube Foods Group and Klejts Holding in Amsterdam, the owner of Bambi Banat, Bambi Park, Imlek, Mlekara Subotica, Knjaz Miloš and Sekopak. However, it is not known whose capital is behind Salford as the managing company.
