FIU Serbia signs MOU with FIU Japan
On 4 June 2024, FIU Serbia signed an MoU with FIU Japan on the margins of the 30th Egmont Plenary (2 – 7 June 2024). This MoU is a key element in the cooperation between the two FIUs as it creates gateways for unimpeded mutual financial intelligence sharing.
Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs) serve as national centres for the receipt, analysis and dissemination of financial intelligence where money laundering or terrorist financing are suspected.
The Administration for the Prevention of Money Laundering is the FIU of the Republic of Serbia and is the member of the Egmont Group as of 2003.
