On 12 April 2019, with the help of Judicial Academy, an info-session was held on the findings of national ML/TF risk assessment for judges, prosecutors, their assistants and police. National risk coordinator informed the audience on the requirement of FATF Recommendation no. 1 and of the importance of implementation of assessed risks by all relevant AML/CFT stakeholders in day-to-day work. This was followed by the presentations of assessed threats, vulnerabilities of different sectors and the country’s capacity to address the risks (national combating ability) delivered by working group coordinators. The participants had an opportunity to exchange opinions on the subject and discuss any concerns thoroughly.
To enable proper understanding of NRA findings and raise awareness of combat against money laundering, these info-sessions will continue in Kraljevo, Niš and Novi Sad.
